The public face of MetaPlume will be taking a short break until just after the New Year, so I thought I’d take the opportunity to let you know about a couple of free offers that will remain available over the Christmas and New Year period – plus a few milestones that have been achieved for and/or by our authors.
The When Good Kids Do Bad Things series
Earlier in the year we published When Good Kids Do Bad Things – A Survival Guide for Parents of Teenagers, one of the best books ever written on the subject of parenting teenagers. It’s a generous read, covering a broad range of topics, from the not-so-serious clothing wars, to kids drinking and drugging. Recognising that not all parents want or need to read up on every topic, eleven chapters have been revised and re-published as individual ebooks in the When Good Kids Do Bad Things series. They are:
- When Good Kids Get You In A Gotcha War - FREE!
- When Good Kids Struggle In School
- When Good Kids Hang Out With The Wrong Crowd
- When Good Kids Dress Makes You Stress
- When Good Kids Lie
- When Good Kids Take Risks
- When Good Kids Have Sex
- When Good Kids Run Away
- When Good Kids Break The Law
- When Good Kids Do Drugs and/or Alcohol
- When Good Kids Get Depressed
Volume 1 is free. So if you are a parent or you know a parent, download that first volume and get a taste of Katherine’s style of advice.
The teller of tall tales
Peter Rake knows how to spin a yarn that either tickles the funny bone – like the ongoing “Adventures” series on his blog – or leaves you wistful and touched. The Coachman falls under the later category. Available for free at the moment on Smashwords, reading The Coachman is a great way to sample Peter’s work and consider purchasing his other short story titles.
Short Stories on Motherhood
I am delighted to say that this eclectic mix of short stories by commended Australian writer Sue Oaks, is now available in print. It would make the perfect gift for any woman who loves great literature.
